When in 1948 State of Israel was proclaimed, the majority of Jews were Ashkenazi. However, by the 1990s, the majority of Israeli Jews were Mizrahi. As of 2005, 61% of Israeli Jews are of Mizrahi ancestry so no Palestinan ancestry, Palestinians changed religion from Jew to Christian then Muslim. see also archeology palestine
